The Latis team was one of six invited entrants for a new pedestrian footbridge across the River Clyde in Glasgow in 2003; the team comprised GMAD Architects, Whitby Bird Engineers, Gross Max Landscape Architects and Kevan Shaw Lighting. The scheme emulated a simple, slender blade arcing between the banks, with a single supporting pillar, created linear parks on the banks and identified a possible site for a riverfront hotel.

The schemes were exhibited at The Lighthouse from December 2003 and ultimately Richard Rogers’ elaborate scheme was selected. This project was ultimately ill fated, and remains unbuilt due to funding constraints.
